How to Setup access to other POP or IMAP email?
RemoMail Tutorial Step: 3 of 5
Run RemoMail.
Go to the BREW (eg. "Get it Now," "Easy Edge," etc.) menu on your phone.
Select RemoMail
. The icon will look like this:

Select Account
Setup.
Press SELECT /
OK.
Select Add.
Press SELECT /
OK.
Scroll down through the list of email providers.
Select "MORE".
Select Other
POP / Other
IMAP, depending on your account type.
Press SELECT /
OK.
Instructions that follow are the same for both.

ID: Enter your User ID here.
Note:Consult your email provider or IT
person to be sure what it is. It could sometimes be the full email address,
or, domain name / username.
If no domain / servername combo is required,
skip this next bullet.
If your username requires a domain name [backslash or forward slash] username
(common for IMAP), use the forward slash.This is usually provided by scrolling
through symbols in your phone's "1" key.
If you don't see it there, select
Option .
Select Multitap.
Select Symbol.
Press Down arrow
twice to scroll through the symbols
Select the number
indicating the correct one (Usually "5"). For example:
Once your username is complete, press
SELECT /
OK.
A "Save
Password" screen comes up.

Option
If you want to enter your password each
time you enter this account, press
SELECT /
OK to UNCHECK the
Save Password option
Press Next.
If you don't want to have to enter your password each time you open this
account, press Next
to bypass this screen.
Enter your email password. Make sure that it is case sensitive. In most
phones, the star (*) key toggles CAPS and lowercase:

You also have the option to change characters.
Press Option .
Select Multitap
and follow the steps.
Press SELECT /
OK to save your
password.
Email Address: You must enter your full email address here,
even if your user ID is also the full email address.
Press SELECT /
OK.
Incoming server: Enter your
POP or
IMAP address. You
will need to obtain this from your email service provider or IT person and then
enter it here.
Press SELECT /
OK.
Here's an example of a typical POP address:

Enable Incoming SSL: If your email service provider requires
SSL encryption to be active, press
SELECT /
OK to check the box
as shown below,
Press Next.
If SSL is not required, press
Next to bypass this
screen:

Incoming Port: Usually this will remain unchanged.
Press SELECT /
OK to bypass this
step. If your email provider requires you to change the default port number,
press the left or right arrow to enter the box to change the port number,
Press CLR to
remove the existing port number and replace it with your own.
Press SELECT /
OK.
Outgoing server: If you wish to use the
default outgoing server, which works in most cases,
press SELECT /
OK to bypass this
screen:

If your email provider requires the use of their own smtp "sendmail" server,
you need to obtain this address and enter it here.
Press left /
right arrow to enter
the box to change the server address,
Press CLR to
delete the existing address and enter your own.
Press SELECT /
OK.
Enable Outgoing SSL: If you are using the default outgoing
server, SSL is not required.
Press Next to
bypass this screen (same example screen as Incoming SSL above).
If you are using your own SMTP server and SSL is required, press
SELECT /
OK to check the box.
Press Next.
Outgoing Port: If you are using the default outgoing server,
the port remains unchanged.
If you are using your own outgoing smtp server, and the port number it
requires is different from the default provided here, press the
left /
right arrow to enter
the box to change it.
Press CLR to
delete the existing port number and replace it with your own.
Press SELECT /
OK.
Now you are ready to start using RemoMail!
